ACE WORKING PRACTICES
(1) Independence of Each Minister and Ministry
It must be stressed at the outset that ACE is a loose association of ministers and ministries with common goals and objectives. Each minister is independent and responsible for the running of his/her own ministry before God. ACE will serve as a co-ordinating body to enable co-operation between ministries and national contacts to enable us all to be more effective than if we operate in isolation from each other.
(2) Co-ordination and Head Office
The offices of RTU in Belfast function as a central co-ordination office for ACE.
(3) Practical Co-operation
It is suggested that the following practices will enable ACE to function effectively for the benefit of the associate evangelists, national crusade directors, and potential associates:
Each associate evangelist sends to the ACE Office as far in advance as possible outline plans of his future overseas crusades in unreached areas - even if the plans are only vague and provisional at that stage. The ACE Office can then assess how this may possibly be co-ordinated with plans of other associate evangelists. If details of potential associate evangelists are also forwarded to the ACE Office it can assess how these people might be accommodated on future trips currently being planned by associate evangelists.
For example:
Evangelist A wants to hold two crusades in India in January.
Evangelist B wants to hold two crusades in India sometime early in the year.
Evangelist C has identified two young potential associate evangelists who need experience.
Early February is the best time for the India Crusade Director to organize crusades.
If the ACE Office has all this information from these four different people it can co-ordinate communication between them and help reach compromise solutions if necessary. The outcome could be, for example, four crusades held in the last week of January and first week of February with the two young potential evangelists teaching in the seminars and possibly at one of the crusade meetings. Result - four crusades in a short space of time, less work for the national director, and experience given to two possible future associate evangelists.
(4) Finances
Each associate is responsible for arranging the finances for his/her own crusades and meetings. RTU desires to provide financial assistance to associates to cover some of the costs of outreaches to unreached people groups - particularly to those associates who are starting out in this ministry - but this will be at the sole discretion of the leadership of RTU and as the Lord provides. It is hoped that some of the other ministries connected with ACE will be able to follow this example as they become more established.
(5) Disciples
Jesus commanded us to make disciples (Matthew 28:19), and so did Paul (2 Timothy 2:2). It is vital that we all have our eyes open for potential associate evangelists. Such people need to be identified and invited on crusade trips and given as much training as possible. Subject to formal acceptance by the leaders of ACE these people can then be admitted as "associate evangelists." Our prayer and goal is to have 100 associate evangelists in ACE.
(6) New Areas of Work
We already have possibilities of pioneering in new countries and trust that more new possibilities will open up for us in the near future. As this develops we will ask more senior associate evangelists to take responsibility for developing opportunities in the particular countries in which they have an interest or a local contact. They can then inform the ACE Office of the possibilities and the ACE Office will pass the information on to the other associates to assess interest, and co-ordinate future plans and crusades, etc.
